Rev. LERDA, Francesco PIME was born on 22 May 1926, in Cuneo, Italy. As a child, He attended Mass with his family and was deeply impressed by the friendly and holy demeanor of the priests towards the parishioners, which inspired him with great respect. Later, due to the turmoil of war in Europe, He made the courageous decision to join a local monastery. He was ordained as a priest in Milan in 1951 and was assigned to serve in Hong Kong in 1955. In 1960, Rev. LERDA, Francesco PIME joined the Catholic Social Welfare Bureau and in 1968, he succeeded Msgr. VATH, Charles Herman as the President, serving in that position until his passing in June 2003.
